About Dr. Rahul Ramachandran

Dr Rahul Ramachandran is the Managing Director and Consultant Diabetologist at MCR Diabetes & Eye Care Centre in Kannur. His work focuses on the clinical management of type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes, with attention to blood sugar monitoring, patient education and follow-up care.

At MCR, he brings together consultations, nutrition guidance and screening for diabetes-related complications. He works with patients to understand their medical history, current medicines, glucose records and everyday routines so that care can fit their needs.

Diabetes care experience

From January 2023 to December 2025, Dr Rahul worked at Dr. Mohan's Diabetes Specialities Centre in Gopalapuram, Chennai. His responsibilities included managing type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes, coordinating multidisciplinary care for diabetic complications, and conducting intensive glycaemic control programmes and patient education.

Medical training

Dr Rahul completed his medical studies at K. S. Hegde Medical Academy, Nitte University, Mangaluru. His qualifications include MBBS, CCEBDM, CGDM and F. Diab.
